Product Manager, Senior Programmer / Analyst |
- On-going analysis, design, specification, and programming. Responsibilities spanned many
complex software product lines including: Patient Treatment Planning, Public Health Care, and
Correctional Facility Health Care, and as well as Claims Adjudication and Union Administration.
As primary technical liaison for these products I provided clients with need assessment,
specifications for their approval, schedule of delivery, finished product, and follow through.
- Responsible for interpretation of, and software compliance with, governmental and relevant agency
regulations.
- Provide marketing support including request for information and request for proposal evaluation
and written response, design and programming for product demonstration development, and
presentation to prospects on-site. Work with in-house sales personnel and IBM on planning and
implementing presentation tactics. Create electronic demonstration scripts for the sales staff to use
during on-site presentation. Create product demonstrations for delivery to prospects on CD and
other media.
- Management of many projects that spanned all applications. Worked with other key programmers
to create new development, taking into account the needs of the various applications. Have
central responsibility for the programming and final implementation of these projects.
- Key member of team that created Graphical User Interface standards for the company. Develop
GUI templates for production programming and screens for final delivery to clients.

Developed many pharmacist requested programs to interface to the system that are still in use today.
- Primary liaison to the application providers. Personally completed much of the needed
enhancements to the provider's source code.
- Managed the operation of the system and daily production schedule.
- Trained staff pharmacists in the use of the system.

- Originally a staff data editor, I was promoted to manager of a newly formed department intended for
specialization in that area. Managed a staff of eight editors and was sole responsible party for
the department's conclusions.
- Primary liaison with the MIS department. Developed HP 3000 JCL batch editing routines.
